Drew McIntyre has been on a powerful winning streak for months, with his rivalry with CM Punk being a major focus on WWE television. Although McIntyre defeated Punk at SummerSlam, their feud is still ongoing. With that said, Jey Uso offered a unique proposal to McIntyre to stop CM Punk chants after SmackDown this week.
For nearly a year, Drew McIntyre has solidified his place as one of WWE’s top villains, captivating fans with what is widely regarded as the most compelling phase of his career. His intense rivalry with CM Punk is set to escalate with a highly anticipated rematch in Berlin. The two will clash in a Strap Match, a stipulation that was announced earlier this week on RAW.
Following the conclusion of the August 23rd edition of Friday Night SmacDown this week, Drew McIntyre and Jey Uso squared off against each other in a dark match. Uso then told McInthre that if he wanted the crowd to stop chanting for CM Punk, he needed to “Yeet” with him. Drew almost broke character, appearing to consider Jey’s suggestion before ultimately attacking him.
”These people will stop chanting ‘CM Punk’ if you yeet with me.”
The Scottish Warrior is clearly laser-focused on his upcoming Strap Match against CM Punk at WWE Bash in Berlin on August 31st, so we will have to wait and see who will triumph in the match when all is said and done.
