The Insane Clown Posse, featuring Shaggy 2 Dope and Violent J, have made their mark on both music and pro wrestling, especially during the 90s. Recently, Violent J made headlines for going after CM Punk in a heated rant, and now he’s opening up about what sparked his intense criticism.

In case you missed it, Violent J didn’t hold back when he blasted CM Punk on social media, calling him out for his past behavior in TNA and how he treated Colt Cabana. The rant was full of harsh words, with Violent J expressing his long-standing frustration.

”F*** @cmpunk for life. You wouldn’t shake our hands in TNA lil b**** and you clown on the only real friend you ever had in Colt Cabana you b****. I Shared my bank account with my mom before she passed you little insensitive b****. You little heartless alien.

“Suck my d*** you little weak b***** couldn’t beat a jobber in UFC you f***** nearly pathetic little joke. Come beat me up b****. You suffer inside everyone, and they momma knows that. Get your head right you little suffering ass b****. .. VJ of Insane Clown Posse- just as legendary as you lil b****. Face it”

During a chat with HOT97, Violent J explained what led to his outburst. He revealed that he was at the airport, feeling the effects of some gummies, and came across the infamous AEW All Out 2022 press conference featuring Punk and Tony Khan. Seeing Punk’s comments brought back memories of an old incident in TNA where Punk allegedly refused to shake the hands of the Insane Clown Posse. That moment, combined with Punk’s treatment of Colt Cabana, pushed Violent J to vent his feelings publicly.

I was sitting in the airport, it was early as f***, I took a big bag of gummies, and I was just sitting there flipping through, and I came across that press conference where he’s sitting there next to Tony Khan, you know, and he’s eating the crumpet or whatever. And he’s like, ‘Two years, two, three years ago,’ yeah, yeah, just talking f***, you know. And Colt Cabana is a good friend of mine—not like a wrestling associate, but a good friend, you know what I mean. And I was just listening to him running his mouth, and I thought about back in TNA when we went to shake his hand, and he wouldn’t shake our hand, you know what I mean? And we were just like, ‘What the f***?”

So, um, I was feeling good on them gummies, and I was just like, ‘f*** this fool, f*** this m******** CM Punk.’

What was funny was, um, at the end of it, I was like, ‘I wish you’d fight me. F****** come fight me.’ I said something like, ‘You got your ass kicked by jobbers in the UFC, come fight me.’ And then after I posted, I thought, you know, ‘I hope he doesn’t come fight me, because he’ll kick my ass.’

Violent J even admitted that after challenging Punk to a fight, he had second thoughts, realizing Punk might actually take him up on it. However, despite the intensity of his comments, Violent J said he doesn’t regret what he said, although he acknowledges that Punk didn’t fully deserve it.

“He’s got attitude problems sometimes, but this is my speculation, brother—where else has he got to go to make that kind of money though, you see what I’m—like, if he f***** up in WWE too, where can he go to make that type of bank at least?

Real talk, I think he’s an incredible talent. I don’t like him, but I feel like he probably suffers inside—that’s my speculation. Because, um, what really got me that morning was when he was talking about, you know, Colt Cabana shares a bank account with his mom, and I’m thinking, ‘What the f***?’ I shared a bank account with my mom before she passed—like, what the f*** kind of statement is that? Is there something wrong if somebody shares a bank account with their elderly mom? Like, I don’t f***** understand that. It’s not like their mom’s out gripping Benzes and s***, you know what I’m saying? It’s just like, you know… anyway.

But he didn’t deserve what I gave him, but, um, I don’t regret it. I don’t really care enough.”

Even though Violent J’s comments were harsh, he doesn’t seem too concerned about the fallout. Whether CM Punk will respond remains to be seen, but for now, Violent J is standing by his words.
