WWE has their eye on the entire pro wrestling world, and that includes the AEW roster. While Tony Khan has stated that he believes contract tampering is at play, that doesn’t change the fact that he’s losing some stars to WWE at this point. Penta and Fenix may be on their way out.

Matt Hardy decided to join AEW after his WWE deal ran out years go. At this point, Matt is now a free agent. Although he’s not speaking about his own possible return to WWE, the Broken One has now reacted to the story that the Lucha Bros may leave AEW for Endeavor’s organization.

The buzz surrounding Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix is intensifying, with many expecting the duo to join WWE in the near future. Fans have been actively discussing the potential move online, with some voicing concerns about the impact their departure would have on AEW’s tag team division.

On the latest edition of The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, Hardy himself acknowledged that it would be a significant loss for AEW if the Lucha Brothers were to leave. He noted that this would be a big deal if it does go down.

“They are one of the OG [teams], they’re a couple of the founding talents and really staples of the tag team division. I know we talked about this, they’re probably the Young Bucks’ greatest opponents too, which is a big deal if those guys do end up stepping away.”

Hardy also shared his thoughts on why the team would thrive in WWE, stating, “I do. I do, especially with how much they are playing towards the Hispanic market in this day and age and especially, you know, going on tours in Mexico and South America. They would be huge, they would be huge.”

We will have to see how Pentagon and Fenix are accepted in WWE if they make the jump. The biggest question may be whether the former AEW World Tag Team Champions will go to NXT first, or whether the two will be able to jump straight to the main roster.

What’s your take on Penta and Fenix possibly going to WWE? Do you think this would be a massive loss for AEW? Let us know what you think in the comments section!
