Lilian Garcia is one of the most recognizable names in WWE history as she made a name for herself as a WWE announcer for several years. This includes an infamous chase segment with Triple H and Garcia has now debunked a rumor regarding the aforementioned segment.

Nearly two decades ago, Triple H and Lilian Garcia were part of a well-known segment where Triple H, frustrated after being announced as a former WWE World Champion, chased Garcia out of the arena before his tag team match. The moment became infamous, and over time, rumors surfaced that Garcia had requested the segment to get a night off for a family event.

While speaking in a recent interview with WrestleZone, Garcia addressed these rumors, calling them completely baseless. She found the segment amusing and firmly denied that it was planned so she could have the night off.

Garcia clarified that she was actually backstage for the rest of the show, debunking the speculation about her needing time off. Although she didn’t reveal the full details behind why the segment happened, she enjoyed keeping some of the mystery alive.

“I’m going to tell you this much, but I’m not going to give it away because it has been a really funny one. The thing was, somebody had said that the reason I did that was because I needed to have a night off for some family event; that is the most ridiculous thing. I don’t know where anybody got that. No, I was actually backstage for the rest of the show. So, it was definitely not for that.”

Lilian Garcia also made surprise appearance during an episode of Monday Night RAW earlier this year. Regardless, some fans will now be shocked after the revelation she gave and that’s unlikely to change anytime soon.
