LA Knight has seen a successful career in WWE, attracting both fans and critics, including Kevin Nash. Recently, LA Knight shared how his interaction with Kevin Nash went during SummerSlam, despite their past animosity.
Last year, WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash previously blasted LA Knight for being a ripoff of The Rock and Steve Austin. Nash even doubled down on his comments and had no intention of apologizing for what he had to say.
In response to Kevin Nash’s comments, LA Knight revealed that he hasn’t had a direct conversation with Nash about their issues. He mentioned that he tried not to dwell too much on the remarks but did accuse Nash of trying to “take food off his table.”
“No, but I’ve had conversations with his friends about it and they’ve all been like, ‘Ah, don’t listen to this stuff.’ Whatever. What am I going to do, worry about that? In a certain sense, there is one part of me that’s like, if this guy wants to take food off my table, that’s cool. It’s a piece of s*** move, but that’s cool. At the same time, why am I going to bother thinking too much about it?”
While speaking with the Daily Mail, LA Knight talked about his backstage meeting with Kevin Nash at WWE SummerSlam 2024. Knight recounted the moment, explaining that Nash approached him while he was sitting in catering, chatting with some colleagues. Knight felt a hand on his back and turned to see Nash greeting him. They had a brief, friendly conversation, with Nash asking about the match and everything going smoothly.
Knight described himself as a “mirror,” reflecting the energy he receives from others. He mentioned that while they might exchange some playful trash talk on podcasts or in interviews, the interaction with Nash was cordial. Knight noted that if Nash had come in with a different attitude, he would have responded in kind, but since Nash was friendly, Knight was equally pleasant in return.
“It’s funny because he came up while I was sitting in catering, talking to a couple of guys, and he came up, and I felt this hand on my back, and he said hello and we talked for a minute.”
“He was asking about the match, and everything was cool and hunky dory. I am a mirror in a lot of ways – I give back whatever I receive. We could talk trash, and whatever he says on the podcast or what I say here and there, it could go either way. If he had come in talking, you know, craziness or whatever, I’d have probably responded in that regard. But he was a sweetheart, and I was a sweetheart right back.”
Even Kevin Nash had nothing but good things to say about his meeting with LA Knight. Regardless, it is good to know that there is no longer any beef between the two and fans are happy about that fact as well.
