Hulk Hogan Kroger Appearance Ends In Protestor Getting Arrested

Pro wrestling fans are well aware that Hulk Hogan is bound to draw attention to himself. Whether his name is attached to his son, Nick Hogan, getting in trouble for a DUI, or it’s because of Hogan doing something else on his own accord. After all, The Hulkster recently stopped by the Republican National Convention where he declared that Donald Trump is his “hero.” Now, his name is getting attention for another reason.

Hulk Hogan is back in the spotlight for reasons beyond his wrestling career. On Thursday, August 22, 2024, Hogan appeared at a Kroger store in Liberty Township, Ohio, to promote his new beer, “Real American Beer.” The event drew a crowd of fans excited to see the wrestling icon.

However, the promotion was marred by controversy. Some protesters attended, angered by Hogan’s recent controversial remark about Vice President Kamala Harris, where he suggested he might “bodyslam” her. One of the protestors, Nathaniel Livington, was detained by police during the event and sustained injuries, including a bloodied eye.

There was a crowd of people gathered, but they were there to see Hulk Hogan. A few of them wore Hogan merchandise, and there were some taunts being heard from the crowd as the police officer led the two protestors away.

The police officer allegedly claimed that the protestor punched him, but this was not seen on camera. The protestor denied this, as the police officer apologized that things had to escalate that far. The police officer led the two off the Kroger parking lot property as a line of people waiting to meet the two-time WWE Hall of Famer witnessed this go down. Then the videos picked back up after Livington was detained and was later taken off by the police.

Videos of the incident, posted by locals Lincoln Ware on Facebook, quickly circulated online, adding to the day’s drama and highlighting the ongoing debate surrounding Hogan’s public statements and appearances.

People are getting a bit up in arms when it comes to politics, and Hulk Hogan is not going to stay away from the political arena this time around. He made that very clear at the RNC, so only time will tell what other feathers are ruffled in the process.
