AEW wrestler Bryan Danielson might be stepping into the ring for the final time this Sunday at AEW All In London. As he prepares for his match against Swerve Strickland for the AEW World Championship, Danielson has raised the stakes by putting his career on the line. If he loses, he has vowed to retire from in-ring competition.

At 43, Danielson is not just focused on wrestling—he’s also a devoted family man and passionate about helping his community. In an interview with Bleacher Report, he shared his plans for life after wrestling, emphasizing his desire to stay involved in the industry while also dedicating more time to his community.

“One of the things that is very important to me is to participate in my community,” Danielson explained. “When you look globally or nationally, it’s hard to affect change. But within your community, you can do a lot. I’ve been able to do some things here or there when we travel, but I want to be more involved.”

Danielson reflected on one of his proudest achievements: helping restore a creek in Washington where salmon had stopped returning. Through both physical labor and financial support, he contributed to the project, and now the salmon have returned. “It’s one of the things I’m most proud of,” he said.

Looking ahead, Danielson is also excited about becoming more involved in his children’s lives. He recalled the joy he felt when he stepped in as a substitute coach for his son’s tee-ball team.

“I had so much fun,” he shared. “So, participating in my kids’ lives and being an active member of my community—those are the things I want to focus on.”

As Bryan Danielson faces what could be his final match, his legendary career spanning more than two decades may be coming to a close. Regardless of the outcome, he will be remembered as one of the greatest wrestlers to ever step into the ring, with accolades from top promotions around the world.
