AJ Lee’s impact on WWE is undeniably significant, with her departure in 2015 marking the end of a pivotal era for fans who celebrate the Women’s Revolution she helped champion. Her life is nothing short of extraordinary and it appears a television series based on her autobiography is in the works.

Despite her departure, rumors of her return have swirled, especially after she shared photo of her old ring gear. However, AJ Lee has clarified that she remains retired, much to the disappointment of her fans.

While her pro wrestling future remains uncertain, she is definitely making strides outside the business. Back in 2017, AJ Lee released her autobiography ‘Crazy Is My Superpower,’ which became a New York Times Best Seller.

During an interview with The Comicon, it was confirmed that AJ Lee’s autobiography will be receiving a television adaption and it will be airing on the A&E Network. AJ Lee was then asked about her thoughts on adapting her book into a television series.

AJ Lee revealed her thoughts on having her autobiography adapted into a TV series. She mentioned that it was a challenge for her at first because she is a very private person and usually keeps to herself. However, she recognized the importance of sharing her experiences, especially regarding mental health struggles, if it could help others. Her book focuses on her experiences growing up in poverty and homelessness, her struggles with mental illness, and how she learned to turn these challenges into strengths. This process of embracing and overcoming difficulties has been a significant part of her creative journey.

”[You’re developing ‘Crazy Is My Superpower’ into a television series for A&E Network. What is it like laying your whole life on the line and then doing it in live action, where so many people are going to see it?]

“I mean, that was an interesting struggle at first because I am the most private person in the world. I’m like a brick wall, and so when you have a lot of people listening to you, the things you say matter. There’s value in that, and you have to be really considerate. I was willing to share this life lesson I learned in embracing my mental health struggles. That’s a piece of me I’m willing to share with the world if it can help other people. My book is very much about growing up in poverty and homelessness, not understanding the mental illness beginning in my body and within my family, and learning how to embrace these things that the world sees as negatives and turn them into armor and strengths. So that’s been a huge part of my creative process—embracing this weird f***** up mind I have.”

This is certainly great news for fans of AJ Lee who have all grown up idolizing her due to her persevere in the face of adversity. Currently, no date has been confirmed for the upcoming television series but fans are definitely excited about it for good reason.
