Shotzi Blackheart sustained a serious injury during a February NXT TV taping, which resulted in adjustments to the scheduled events. Following the injury, she underwent surgery and has since started her rehabilitation process. Recently, she shared an update on her progress and the status of her return to in-ring competition.
During the aforementioned WWE NXT taping, Shotzi sustained a knee injury while attempting her apron DDT, rendering her unable to bear weight on the knee and experiencing considerable pain.
Shotzi has already confirmed that she suffered an ACL tear and underwent surgery for the injury, for which she would be on the shelf for nine months.
Shotzi Blackheart used her Instagram Story to share an update on her recovery from the severe injury she suffered. She posted a picture of her leg undergoing cupping treatment and mentioned that it will be a few months before she can return to in-ring action.

Shotzi also underwent stem cell therapy during her absence. It remains to be seen whenever she will be able to return to in-ring action at the end of the year as fans certainly miss her.
