Ivar had been gaining momentum as a credible singles star, proving himself to be a tough competitor in WWE. However, he was recently written off television due to an injury. In the meantime, it seems he is undergoing stem cell therapy as part of his recovery process.
During a previous episode of NXT, Wes Lee, Ivar, and Josh Briggs were set to compete in a triple threat match to determine the next challenger for the NXT North American Championship. However, they were found incapacitated on the floor backstage. The attackers were later revealed to be the returning members of the faction Gallus.
Following the shocking incident where Ivar was attacked by Gallus, it was announced that he had indeed suffered an injury, leading to his removal from WWE television. Ivar confirmed that his injury is very legitimate one.
Ivar, who hasn’t competed in 113 days, shared a positive update on his Instagram account. The former champion revealed that he is undergoing stem cell treatment and provided details about his experience about the same. He also posted several images, including one of his IV bag with the message “Never tell me the odds. The Return!” written on it.
“Day 2 at @rejuvstem !!! What an amazing team, all working hard to get me healthy. 100 million stem cells yesterday, another 100 million today all thru IV. And 5 billion exosomes. Hyperbaric chamber. And more to come!!
We have also reported that Ivar is done with NXT and is unlikely to return when he makes his in-ring comeback. However, Ivar’s wrestling future is uncertain at the moment after his injury. Despite the injury setback, fans are hopeful for his speedy recovery and return to the ring as soon as possible.
