The House of Black is undoubtedly one of the top factions in all of AEW right now and they have achieved some success in the company. However, it appears they have been accused of being troublemakers in AEW.

For the past few months, the contractual status of Buddy Matthews and Malakai Black made people wonder whether they would end up leaving AEW. However, Matthews signed a new contract with AEW in February of this year and Black signed a new deal as well.

While speaking on Keepin’ It 100, Disco Inferno talked about Buddy Murphy’s recent re-signing, noting that it seems unusual given the reported difficulties he and the House of Black have caused backstage.

Inferno claimed that the House of Black are a pain to deal with backstage and is constantly turning down creative ideas. Disco Inferno expressed curiosity about AEW re-signing him, questioning why WWE would want to bring back the House of Black, who are perceived as troublemakers, especially when WWE’s locker room is currently thriving.

“Buddy Murphy re-signed, right? Okay, so I think they’re staying, which is kind of weird because all I’ve heard from sources is that they’re[ House of Black] a pain to deal with backstage. They’re constantly turning down creative. But I guess they didn’t want him going back to WWE, so they re-signed him. But I wonder, based on all the things we’re hearing—that these guys were a pain—that WWE really didn’t want them back. You know what I’m saying? They sound like troublemakers a little bit, so why would WWE want them back in a locker room that’s having massive success right now?”

The House of Black is set to take part in a four-way ladder match for the AEW Trios Championships at All In on August 25, so the faction is clearly more focused on the match than anything else at the moment.
