Darby Allin Once Suffered Internal Bleeding from the Brain After Horrific Spot

Darby Allin, known for his resilience and ability to endure intense punishment, has earned comparisons to a human demolition derby. That’s why it’s no surprise he once suffered internal bleeding from the brain after a horrific spot.

Darby Allin has endured some incredibly painful and dangerous landings throughout his career, leaving many fans in awe and concern. From being slammed onto jagged ring steps, crashing through glass panes, to getting hit with thumbtacks while suspended above the ring, Allin has taken risks that few wrestlers face in their entire careers.

However, the most painful and potentially life-threatening experience he had came in 2017 during an independent wrestling show. with Alistair McGeorge of Metro UK, Darby Allin revealed that with no protective pads around the ring, Allin performed a dive that ended with him landing headfirst on concrete.

The impact caused a severe concussion and internal brain bleeding, leaving him convulsing on the ground for several seconds. Despite this, he somehow managed to finish the match, which concluded with a top rope Powerbomb. Reflecting on the incident, Allin described it as mentally agonizing and more painful than any physical injury, revealing the severity of brain injuries compared to other types of wounds.

‘When I got a really bad concussion in 2017, I think that’s the most pain, because it’s so mental. I would rather break anything than have your brain be messed up. I was wrestling on an independent show in 2017 and they had no pads around the ring at all.

‘And I do this dive, and my head just smashes in the concrete, and I start, like, convulsing on the ground for probably four seconds, and then I finished the match. The finish of the match is a top rope Power Bomb. Like, my head is killing me. And I go to the hospital, and they’re getting bleeding from the brain. So I had to be put under and stuff like that. And it was gnarly. Man, that was insane.’

Darby Allin also revealed the bizarre motivation behind his dangerous spots. Nonetheless, we do hope Allin will tone down his ridiculous spots for the sake of his health.
