AEW’s locker room dynamics have been under scrutiny this month following a heated confrontation between Britt Baker and MJF. The incident has generated significant discussion among wrestling fans and industry insiders. Tony Khan has now addressed Britt Baker’s suspension in response to the situation.

The confrontation stemmed from comments Britt Baker made about MJF and his girlfriend, Alicia Atout, during the July 17th episode of Dynamite. These remarks were relayed to MJF through Atout, leading to a heated exchange. The situation further escalated when Will Ospreay stepped in to mediate by discussing the issues with Baker.

Tensions reached a peak when MJF, visibly upset by the situation, punched wall backstage, showing the intense emotions and high stakes within AEW’s locker room. Despite the issues, Britt Baker continued to appear on television.

An HR-led investigation into the incident led to brief suspension for Baker and also looked into allegations that she had verbally confronted Atout and requested her removal from the women’s locker room. Britt Baker’s suspension was lifted when she made a return via video screen on the August 7th episode of AEW television.

While speaking to Barstool Rasslin‘, Tony Khan was asked about Britt Baker’s suspension. He mentioned that Britt Baker has been featured on the show recently and praised her as fantastic. Khan expressed his excitement about having Dr. Britt Baker DMD back in AEW. He noted that Baker is set to face the CEO in a match at AEW All In, which is happening this Sunday.

Khan referred to the upcoming match as a “fantastic” encounter and one of the dream matches he has wanted to see for a long time. He highlighted that this match between Mercedes and Britt Baker, which will take place at Wembley Stadium, is something fans never expected to see, and it promises to be a great addition to the ongoing rivalry that has developed on AEW television.

“I mean, Britt Baker has been on the show just this week. That’s what they told me. I think Britt Baker is fantastic, and it’s been so great having Dr. Britt Baker DMD back in AEW. She’s chasing the CEO, and I think that at AEW All In, how many abbreviations was that in like 10 seconds? Pretty cool. I think at AEW All In, coming up this Sunday, it’s going to be DMD versus the CEO for the TBS title. It’s going to be a fantastic match. To me, Mercedes versus Britt Baker is one of those dream matches I’ve wanted to see for a long time, even before they worked in the same company. It’s one of those matches you never thought you’d get to see, and it’s happening at Wembley Stadium this Sunday. It’s going to be a great, great match, and it’s been a great rivalry that’s unfolded on AEW television.”

MJF has since stated that the stories of his backstage confrontation with Britt Baker were blown out of proportion. Regardless, Britt Baker is already back on AEW television and fans just want things to be under control as AEW All In will be taking place on August 25th and fans just want to focus on that now.
