Chris Jericho is a true veteran in the pro wrestling world and is also proud to be working in AEW and doesn’t care what his haters have to say. With that said, his in-ring career will eventually come to an end and he has now revealed his post-retirement plans.

Jericho has endured a significant amount of physical strain over the years, which may limit his ability to wrestle for much longer. Despite this, Le Champion has managed to maintain his relevance and continues to captivate fans. His presence remains a regular and engaging part of AEW programming, and fans still eagerly wait for his matches and appearances.

While speaking to Daily Star, The Learning Tree was asked about his post-retirement plans. Jericho stated that he continues to enjoy touring with Fozzy and has been receiving more acting offers, which aligns with his long-time interest in acting. He plans on continuing both careers in the future.

Jericho also mentioned the possibility of exploring other roles within AEW, such as backstage work or commentating. He had previously stepped away from commentating on Rampage because he felt his character, The Learning Tree, was not a good fit for that role. He transferred commentating duties to Daddy Magic, who gained recognition through working with Jericho.

Jericho noted that even if he steps away from in-ring competition, he plans to stay involved in the wrestling industry in some capacity. He believes there are many ways to contribute to the industry outside the ring, potentially offering a career nearly as impactful as his in-ring achievements.

”We discussed Fozzy, and I still enjoy the live experience of touring with the band. Recently, I’ve been getting more acting offers, which is something I’ve always wanted to do. It seems like these opportunities are becoming more frequent. I might focus more on acting or explore other roles within AEW, such as backstage work or commentating.

I previously gave up commentating on Rampage because I felt that my character, The Learning Tree, wouldn’t be suitable for it. I handed over that role to Daddy Magic, who gained recognition through working with me.

There are many possibilities for me outside the ring. While I might stop being physically active in the ring, I don’t think I’d ever fully leave the wrestling business. There are numerous ways to stay involved and have a significant career outside the ring, almost as impactful as my in-ring career.”

Chris Jericho has also denied claims of having ‘go away’ heat in AEW. Nevertheless, we’ll have to see what Jericho will do once he hangs up his pro wrestling boots once and for all, as it is likely he will continue wrestling for the next few years.
