The Rock Responds to Questions About Running for President

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson possesses infinite charisma and is viewed as an outstanding US citizen, which is why many feel he should run for President. The topic of him running for President is still widely discussed and he has now addressed running for President.

Last year, The Rock disclosed that several political parties have approached him about potential run for the office of President of the United States. It was also reported that a whopping 46% of voters would eagerly cast their ballots for Dwayne Johnson to become POTUS.

The Great One would then hold meetings with US Senators last year. While speaking to Trevor Noah, The Rock was asked about his previous comments when it came to running for President.

The Rock shared that at the end of 2022, he was approached by political parties inquiring if he was interested in running for office. This unexpected visit involved discussions about his potential candidacy and included references to polls and extensive research that suggested he would be a strong contender if he chose to pursue it. Although the idea was surprising to him, as he had never aspired to be involved in politics and had reservations about it, he was moved by the interest.

“I’ll just share this a little bit with you. At the end of 2022, I got a visit from the parties asking me if I was going to run and if I could run. It was a big deal and came out of the blue. They brought up that poll and their own deep dive, research, and data, which would prove that, should I ever decide to go down that road, I would be a real contender. It was all very surreal because that’s never been my goal. My goal has never been to be in politics. And in fact, there’s a lot about politics that I don’t like.

I was moved by that, and the reason I gave that response was because that’s truly what the people want. Then, of course, I would consider it.”

The Rock explained that his primary motivation for considering a political career would be if it aligned with what the people wanted. He also mentioned that his decision was influenced by his personal life, particularly his role as a father to three daughters, ranging from 22 to 5 years old. Having experienced the challenges of being away from family due to his wrestling career, he wanted to avoid similar separation from his children.

This was a significant factor in his discussions with the parties, who acknowledged that other politicians had navigated such situations before. Ultimately, The Rock made it clear that if public demand were strong enough, he would seriously consider entering politics and running for President.

”After that response, the parties came, but I had to really double down on the idea. I have three daughters—22 years old, seven years old, and five years old. My 22-year-old daughter, Simone, and I essentially grew up together. I know what it’s like to be in an occupation that took me away, being a pro wrestler full-time and wrestling 230 dates a year. I didn’t want that for my little ones now.

So that was one of my primary discussions with the parties, who ultimately said that others have done it like this. So with the response, I responded in that way, I thought it was important and I do feel that way by the way, If that’s ultimately what the people want, then… of course I would consider it.”

Some senators even believe The Rock has the influence to convince more young people to enlist for the US Army, Air Force and Navy. Nonetheless, we’ll have to see if he will end up running for President in the future.
