Sting wrestled his final match at AEW Revolution, marking the end of an era in professional wrestling. Now, he’s settling into life as a retired wrestler, which means he can take things a bit easier—no more keeping up with the routine of dyeing his hair.
A recent photo from the Cauliflower Alley Club shows Sting with gray hair, a notable change from the blonde and later dark hair fans have known him for. Despite the difference in appearance, he seemed content, posing for photos with fans and participating in the event. Even in retirement, Sting remains The Icon.
While Sting has stepped away from the ring, his son, Steven Borden, is beginning his journey into the world of professional wrestling. Steven is currently training with Darby Allin, whose backyard ring has become Steven’s new training ground. Inspired by his participation in AEW Revolution, Steven, a former college football player, has dedicated himself to his training, even going so far as to camp in a tent in Allin’s yard. Although he once expressed uncertainty about a career in wrestling, describing it as “murky,” Steven has found that performing for fans gives him an emotional high that he can’t ignore.
Sting’s retirement earlier this year was a significant moment, with his final match alongside Darby Allin and his sons, Steven and Garrett. In tribute to their father’s legacy, Garrett portrayed “Surfer Sting,” while Steven took on the persona of “Wolfpac Sting.”
Sting’s future in the wrestling world remains uncertain. While he may appear again in some capacity, his days in the ring are over. For now, he seems to be enjoying life post-wrestling, embracing his new chapter with contentment.
