Mercedes Mone has become a cornerstone for AEW ever since her arrival to the company back in March. In no time, she quickly ascend to the top of the ladder and become both the AEW TBS and NJPW Strong Women’s Champion.
The CEO of Women’s Wrestling is next headed to AEW’s premier event, All In, set to take place on Sunday, August 25, at Wembley Stadium in London. Mone will face her new rival and AEW original, Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D.
In her Newsletter’ ‘Moné Mag’, she put over All In over WWE’s grand spectacle, WrestleMania during its one night show format. Mercedes stated that during that time, WWE, did not feature multiple women’s matches whereas All In this year has three top matches for the women’s division.
Furthermore, Mercedes Mone also threw shade at WWE for cutting women’s matches from the card, in case the men’s matches went longer than allotted time.
“There are 3 women’s matches at All In [this Sunday]. THREE. When ‘Mania was 1 night, how many women’s matches were there? Not 3. Moreover, when the guys’ matches went too long in WWE, it was the women’s matches that got cut for time.”
Mercedes Mone also made an interesting revelation in regards to WrestleMania recently. While the CEO did make a valid point about WWE not having multiple matches at WrestleMania earlier, her prime focus remains to grace her presence on AEW’s biggest stage this Sunday. So it will be interesting to see if she can overcome Britt Baker and continue riding the wave of momentum as a double champion.
