WWE’s NXT brand remains strong, and the August 20 episode featured several important matches that will influence the brand’s direction. A key focus of the night was the NXT Women’s Championship, currently held by Roxanne Perez. Perez has attracted considerable attention, including praise from CM Punk, who has openly expressed his admiration for her skill and potential.
In this week’s episode of WWE NXT, a gauntlet match took place to determine the number one contender for the NXT Women’s Championship. The match included six competitors: Jaida Parker, Karmen Petrovic, Wren Sinclair, Kendal Grey, Sol Ruca, and Adriana Rizzo. These talented women entered the ring, each determined to earn a shot at the NXT Women’s Championship.
Before the match began, Karmen Petrovic was removed from the lineup. In her place, Ava announced that Brinley Reece would take the spot.
The match kicked off with Sol Ruca and Wren Sinclair going head-to-head in a competitive battle. Adriana Rizzo then joined the action, representing her Family and adding an unpredictable twist. It didn’t take long for Ruca to eliminate Rizzo as the match pressed on. Next, Brinley Reece entered the ring.
Kendal Grey was the next to join the fray, wasting no time in eliminating Brinley. Finally, Jaida Parker entered the match last, securing the advantageous final spot.
The contest came down to Parker and Ruca, with Parker ultimately securing a clean victory. Parker is now set to face Roxanne Perez at No Mercy on September 1.

With the addition of notable talents like Stephanie Vaquer, Delta, and Giulia, the division is set to face new challenges and heightened competition, paving the way for exciting matchups in the coming weeks and months.
It remains to be seen how these new arrivals will impact the women’s division and what it will mean for Roxanne Perez as she continues her reign as champion. WWE’s efforts to bolster its women’s roster suggest a promising future, with NXT poised to remain a dynamic and competitive brand.
