Hulk Hogan, a towering figure in professional wrestling, has significantly influenced the sport’s history. Known for his colorful personality and headline-making antics, Hogan’s actions continue to draw attention both inside and outside the wrestling world.
Hogan, who has publicly supported former President Donald Trump for years, recently stirred controversy again. This time, it occurred during a promotional event for his new beer at the Thirsty Cowboy in Medina, Ohio.
During the the event, captured in a widely circulated video, Hogan engaged with the crowd in a manner reminiscent of Steve Austin’s famous “What?” routine. However, the tone shifted when he made a racially insensitive comment about U.S. Presidential nominee Kamala Harris, who is of Indian and Jamaican descent.
Hogan jokingly asked the audience if they wanted him to “bodyslam” and “drop the leg” on Harris, and controversially referred to her as a “Chameleon” because of her heritage.
Hogan attempted to dismiss the remark as a result of the beer’s influence, but this is not the first time his comments have sparked backlash. He previously faced accusations of racism, notably after dismissing a Black ambassador for his ‘Real American Beer’ brand last month. The wrestling community and broader public are now watching to see how Hogan will address these recent remarks, especially given the criticism from figures like Jim Cornette and others.
