WWE has become more flexible than ever when it comes to allowing their talent to appear for other companies. Their ongoing collaboration with TNA Wrestling and NXT continues to create interesting and unexpected moments, and fans of OTT Wrestling have plenty to look forward to as well.

At OTT ScrapperMania VIII on Saturday evening, the promotion announced that JD McDonagh and Finn Balor will be appearing at their Tenth Anniversary show in October. According to Fightful Select’s Corey Brennan, the talent competing on Saturday were not informed about the announcement beforehand and were just as surprised as the fans when the vignette played during the show. It remains uncertain whether McDonagh and Balor will wrestle at the event or simply make an appearance.

One OTT source reportedly speculated that the appearance might be exclusive to the live audience, similar to when McDonagh returned to face Mark Haskins in March 2022. However, the source also noted that things could be different now under WWE’s new regime.

It will be interesting to see what WWE allows their talent to do next. These are decisions that Vince McMahon likely would have shut down immediately. With Triple H and Endeavor now in charge, there is much more flexibility.

Triple H seems to have a clear purpose behind these decisions, whether it’s to showcase a Superstar to a new audience or to build stronger relationships with other companies. Regardless, wrestling fans are benefiting from even more action.
