Cody Rhodes is one of the most popular figures in WWE, with fans worldwide eager to meet him. However, many fans were disappointed when they couldn’t meet him at Fanatics Fest. The reason for this has now been revealed.

Fanatics Fest took place at the Javits Center in New York City, and WWE Superstars have been a major attraction there. The event offered fans a unique opportunity to interact closely with their favorite WWE stars. Cody Rhodes, being a major fan favorite, was a big draw at the convention. However, on the final day, many fans who had booked photo ops with him were disappointed as they didn’t get the chance to meet him.

PWInsider reports that Cody Rhodes and several other WWE stars faced difficulties during the third day of Fanatics Fest on Sunday, August 18. The event encountered issues with some superstar signing sessions being oversold and running longer than scheduled. As a result, talents, including Rhodes, had to be pulled from these sessions to fulfil other commitments at the event.

These problems were reportedly due to mismanagement on Fanatics Fest’s part, not WWE’s. Despite the disruptions, some talents returned later to continue signing for fans. Additionally, Cody Rhodes missed a planned appearance at a press conference for the upcoming November fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson on Netflix. According to PWInsider, although Rhodes was supposed to participate and answer a question at the press conference, he never showed up.

The report also mentioned that Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin had personally requested Rhodes to appear for the segment, but it ultimately didn’t happen. Rhodes had to leave the event early to catch a flight back to Florida for a WWE live event in Fort Myers.

Michael Rubin also congratulated Cody Rhodes for topping WWE’s merchandise sales. Regardless, we will have to wait and see if WWE will be able to make it up to the fans who weren’t able to meet Cody Rhodes and other WWE Superstars in the future.
