Ricky Starks has been a key figure in AEW since 2020, but he has been noticeably absent from television since late March. With that said, his future with AEW remains uncertain while he remains sidelined.

On the March 30 episode of AEW Collision, Ricky Starks seemed to sustain an injury during a tag team title tournament match where he and Big Bill competed against Top Flight. This match turned out to be his final appearance on AEW television, and he has not been seen since, with the reasons for his absence still unclear.

There has been speculation about why Ricky Starks is missing from AEW TV, with some suggesting that he may be heading to WWE, leading AEW to refrain from using him further.

While speaking during a Fightful Select Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp was asked about Ricky Starks’ status in AEW while he remains absent and whether he was backstage recently. It was noted that Starks hadn’t been backstage at AEW shows for a while now.

“Not that I heard. I haven’t heard that he’s been backstage or anything like that.”

Ricky Starks’ future with AEW is also in limbo during his prolonged absence. It was also reported that WWE is eyeing to sign Ricky Starks, so it remains to be seen what The Absolute One will decide for himself in the end.
