Big E has mentioned that he would be content if he never wrestles again, having already achieved a lot in his career. Despite his absence from the ring, he continues to work with WWE. Meanwhile, his New Day stablemates, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, have kept things moving forward, and the recent addition of Odyssey Jones to the group has raised some questions.

During the August 19 episode of WWE RAW, Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, and Odyssey Jones appeared in a backstage segment. Jones was enthusiastic about being part of the team and ready for their match. After he stepped away, Woods and Kofi had a chance to talk.

Woods expressed hesitation about bringing Jones into the stable, noting that Kofi didn’t consult with him before making the decision. Kofi clarified that he isn’t trying to replace Big E; he just wants to support the 30-year-old Jones, who is still early in his career, while Woods and Kingston are veterans. It seemed that Woods agreed, but the future remains uncertain.

Odyssey Jones has been working hard in WWE for some time. After a break from NXT action in 2022 due to a patellar tendon injury, he was drafted to the RAW brand as part of the 2023 WWE Draft. Sadly, they didn’t make much use of him at all. Then in the 2024 WWE Draft, Jones was once again drafted to RAW. In August 2024, he finally made his RAW debut, assisting The New Day against The Final Testament.

Now aligned with Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, Jones is eager about his new role. The New Day has been a long-running team, and it will be interesting to see if they officially induct a new member.
