This week’s episode of WWE RAW on August 19, 2024, will take place at the Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida. CM Punk was on hand to speak his mind, because things are not okay when it comes to the fact that Drew McIntyre beat him at SummerSlam.

Since Drew McIntyre injured CM Punk at the 2023 Royal Rumble, he has consistently reminded Punk of the injury, taunting him about his triceps on television and social media. Week after week, McIntyre frequently tweets jabs aimed at Punk, and now he’s even wearing an AJ and Larry bracelet to further provoke him. This relentless needling on social media would get to anyone.

Punk has admitted that McIntyre’s behavior really gets under his skin. The constant trolling from the Scottish Warrior has definitely taken a toll on Punk’s enjoyment, as his notifications are often flooded with McIntyre’s taunts.

CM Punk made his way to the ring to kick off the second hour of the show this week. With a strap around his neck, he congratulated the Florida fans on the Panthers’ Stanley Cup win and mentioned all the fans he encountered at the Fanatics NYC Fest.

Punk was there to share some news with the fans, and he seemed quite eager about it. He also displayed the handmade bracelets he received from fans, showing off a handful of them. The conversation soon shifted to Drew McIntyre, as their feud had become personal. Punk remarked that he thinks Drew loves him and “knows he’s obsessed with me.” He then delivered the big news: at Bash in Berlin, it will be CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre in a strap match.

That match could be very intense, as strap matches have historically been bloody affairs. The outcome on August 31 remains to be seen, but it will certainly add an interesting layer to Punk and McIntyre’s rivalry.
