CM Punk Admits Drew McIntyre’s Constant Jabs Get Annoying

Since Drew McIntyre injured CM Punk at the 2023 Royal Rumble, McIntyre has repeatedly reminded Punk of the injury, taunting him on television and social media about his triceps. On any given week, McIntyre might tweet something aimed at taking a shot at Punk. Now, McIntyre is rocking that AJ and Larry bracelet to further twist the knife. This kind of constant jabbing on social media is enough to get to anyone.

Punk has admitted that this behavior from Drew McIntyre gets under his skin. The constant tweeting from the Scottish Warrior has certainly taken its toll on Punk’s enjoyment level, because his notifications are full of McIntyre’s trolling.

Speaking on The Masked Man Show, Punk was asked about “bringing work home” to his wife AJ Lee and whether they frequently discuss wrestling. Punk admitted that when he gets home, it’s a totally different world, and he’s not obsessed. McIntyre is a different story, because he never drops the beef.

“No. When I go home, I have April and Larry there and that’s a completely different world. I think that maybe why [Drew] gets under my skin so much is because I feel like he’s always on, and he doesn’t turn it off. He’s always tweeting, he’s always saying something stupid on Twitter. I’m just trying to live my life at home. It grates on the nerves. It’s annoying, but then I get to go to work and I get to try and punch him in the face. Mondays are a good time for me.”

Punk is set to deliver a message to McIntyre on Monday’s WWE Raw. We will have to see what they say next. Obviously, they aren’t done with each other. With Seth Rollins out of the picture, only time will tell how many times Punk and McIntyre collide in the ring, but The Visionary won’t be around to special referee the match next time.

Drew McIntyre and CM Punk’s feud is over pride and a home-made bracelet instead of a title belt. This is a nice change of pace, and it also proves that you don’t need to have a top title involved in order for people to have something big to fight over.
