Although WWE generally maintains separation between its three rosters, there have been instances of crossover appearances for one-off matches or brief feuds. For example, Randy Orton made appearances on RAW to build up his match against GUNTHER at Bash in Berlin. With that said, Booker T doesn’t want NXT stars on the main roster Premium Live Events.

The trend of main roster stars appearing on NXT to help future stars gain experience and boost ratings has been noticeable. However, one Hall of Famer is not in favor of NXT stars making appearances on main roster Premium Live Events.

While speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, the former World Champion expressed his preference for keeping NXT stars’ big moments reserved for their official main roster call-up.

Booker T believes that these appearances should be special and reserved for when the stars are officially promoted, comparing it to moving out of your parents’ house. He thinks this approach gives young talents more motivation to work hard and look forward to their call-up, rather than having their spotlight diluted by early appearances.

“I really don’t want to see it. I really don’t want to see the companies merge like that. I think when the guys get called up, that’s really their time to shine, and being able to do it like this, give these young guys a whole lot more to work for to actually move up. Not just move up but move out, it’s like moving out of your parents house. It’s a totally different feeling so I rather stay that way.”

NXT stars will eventually get called up to the main roster but many fans will agree with the fact that it’s perhaps better to simply let NXT stars develop themselves organically and get rushed into a main roster call up, as that would ultimately derail their momentum.
