Bray Wyatt’s memory will always be cherished by the pro wrestling community, and many even got tattoos in his memory. The Eater of Worlds sadly passed away on August 24, 2023. Although less than a year has passed since his untimely death, the outpouring of tributes has made it feel like much longer. His influence and the love fans and fellow wrestlers had for him continue to resonate deeply. Cody Rhodes recently proved that in a big way.

During the WWE live event on August 17 in Lakeland, Florida, Cody Rhodes delivered a heartfelt tribute that added another layer to the ongoing remembrances of Bray Wyatt. After his main event match, where The American Nightmare successfully defended his title against The Bloodline’s “The Tribal Chief” Solo Sikoa, Cody took a moment to honor Bray’s legacy in a very personal way.

In a touching gesture, Cody Rhodes invited Bray Wyatt’s daughter into the ring and presented her with his championship belt. He made a big deal about bringing her into the ring during his post-match promo. This act was not only a tribute to Bray Wyatt, but also a moment of deep connection and respect, creating a lasting memory for those in attendance.

At WWE’s live event in Lakeland, Florida, fans also saw a night of wrestling action, highlighted by several intense matches. In a 6-Man Tag Team Match, Braun Strowman, Odyssey Jones, and The New Day’s Kofi Kingston emerged victorious over Finn Bálor, JD McDonagh and Carlito. The Bloodline’s Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa successfully defended their WWE Tag Team Championships against #DIY in a closely contested battle. Meanwhile, GUNTHER retained his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Damian Priest in a hard-hitting contest. Despite a post-match attack by The Judgment Day, Priest stood his ground and drove them off.
