AEW’s locker room dynamics have come under scrutiny this week after a heated confrontation between Britt Baker and MJF. The incident has sparked widespread discussion among wrestling fans and industry insiders. Commenting on the situation, Booker T suggested that AEW should consider firing wrestlers involved in backstage incidents to maintain order.

The confrontation started when Britt Baker made comments about MJF and his girlfriend, Alicia Atout, during the July 17th episode of Dynamite. Atout told MJF about these remarks, which led to a heated argument between him and Baker. The situation got worse when Will Ospreay tried to help by talking to Baker about the issue.

Things reached a boiling point when a frustrated MJF punched a wall backstage, showing how tense things had become in AEW’s locker room. Even with the drama, Britt Baker continued to appear on TV. An HR investigation followed, leading to a brief suspension for Baker and an inquiry into claims that she had verbally confronted Atout and asked for her removal from the women’s locker room.

While speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T talked about a recent backstage issue involving Britt Baker, MJF, and Alicia Atout.

Booker T commented on the situation, saying he wasn’t sure if it was real or just part of a storyline. He noticed that in AEW, people often get suspended instead of fired, and he thinks they should start firing people to show they’re serious. He mentioned that getting suspended means you’ll eventually come back, and joked about how he used to get suspended from school every month.

“I didn’t know if that was work or if they were…..because the damn thing is this, so many people get suspended in AEW. They don’t get fired. They just get suspended. What is the deal with the suspension thing? They need to start finding some people to stop making some example. You get suspended. That mean you coming back? I got suspended in school every month.”

Booker T also said that while suspensions can work, AEW might need to start firing people to make a stronger point. He hasn’t heard of anyone being fired recently, even though some have been let go.

“Suspensions can work, I think. But my thing is this: they’re gonna have to start firing some people sooner. That’s one thing I haven’t heard as far as AEW. I’ve heard a couple of people got let go, but I haven’t heard anybody that has been, just say, fired.”

MJF has since stated that the stories of his backstage confrontation with Britt Baker were blown out of proportion. As AEW gears up for the All In event on August 25th, the company is focused on avoiding any more controversies and ensuring a smooth, successful pay-per-view. Both fans and talent are hopeful that the backstage environment will calm down, allowing the wrestlers to concentrate on delivering outstanding performances.
