WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix was a trailblazer in women’s wrestling, gaining prominence during a time when female wrestlers often didn’t get the recognition they deserved. Now that she is no longer with WWE, she is believed to be joining AEW.
Beth Phoenix dominated during the height of her career and has been mostly inactive in the ring for a while. Her last match was at Elimination Chamber 2023, where she and her husband, Adam Copeland, defeated Finn Balor and Rhea Ripley.
Beth Phoenix recently ended her tenure with WWE after her contract came to an end, and she was not offered a new deal or a legends contract. With her departure from WWE, there is now speculation about whether she might debut in AEW.
While speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T talked about Beth Phoenix’s departure from WWE. He noted that Phoenix could easily join her husband Adam Copeland in AEW, stating that it would only take a phone call from Copeland to make it happen.
“Beth Phoenix is now a free agent. She’s no longer part of WWE. I mean, she had a hell of a career, started in the developmental system, FCW, back in 2007 and just wrapping it up that’s a hell of a career, 17 years with the WWE. And I’m sure with Edge being over there in AEW, all he has to do is make a phone call and boom, the Hall of Fame couple will be back together again. So, that’s the way I see that.”
Britt Baker made it clear that she wants to see Beth Phoenix in AEW as well and Phoenix also addressed her in-ring future following her WWE exit. Therefore, it remains to be seen whether Phoenix will make her way to AEW this year.
