The SummerSlam Premium Live Event was a solid show from start to finish, providing an enjoyable experience for fans. It was obviously a huge success for many reasons and now the pay-per-view buys for the event have been revealed.

The SummerSlam Premium Live Event featured Dominik Mysterio betraying Rhea Ripley and helping Liv Morgan win, CM Punk losing to Drew McIntyre and many other memorable moments took place throughout the show.

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, SummerSlam pay-per-view buys are currently at 13,100, marking a 90.9 percent increase—almost double the buys compared to Money in the Bank. This surge is anticipated given SummerSlam’s status as a major event.

Although this number is lower than last year’s, Meltzer noted that comparing WWE pay-per-view buys from the previous year isn’t very useful, as many viewers have shifted to Peacock. Viewership on Peacock, which is the primary metric, has significantly exceeded last year’s numbers.

Regardless, SummerSlam will go down in WWE history as one of the most significant Premium Live Events in recent memory and that’s what fans will remember it by more than anything.
