The Hardy Boyz are no longer under contract with AEW, and they are now making appearances for TNA Wrestling. However, they remain free agents, leaving the door open for potential changes in their future.

Matt Hardy recently confirmed that The Hardys filmed media content for WWE in Cleveland. This meeting could signal a possible return for Matt and Jeff Hardy to their former home.

The legendary tag team was invited to participate in WWE digital content while they were in town for the weekend’s events. While this was a productive use of their time, it may also pave the way for further opportunities with the company.

On the latest episode of The Extreme Life Of Matt Hardy, Hardy confirmed that they had indeed been involved in the WWE event in Cleveland during SummerSlam weekend. They recorded content and stayed at the hotel provided by WWE for the weekend. They also encountered several familiar faces while there.

“We get on that plane, we get to Cleveland, as soon as we get to Cleveland, we were met by a WWE driver who picked us up to take us to the WWE TV hotel where we went and recorded some media, some digital for those guys which is going to air on some of their platforms coming up in the future. It was very cool, it was very cool to interact with a lot of the guys. We walked in, very first person we saw was Jey Uso which was cool. Saw a couple of the other boys, saw some of the office. We got some really neat stuff that’s going to be coming out on WWE digital over the course of probably the next three, four, five months.”

Hardy described the interaction as a friendly visit and highlighted its importance, particularly for Jeff Hardy. Jeff’s departure from WWE years ago was driven by personal struggles, and his DUI during his time with AEW led to significant time away from television. However, with his decade-long driver’s license suspension now behind him, Jeff may be in a much better place.

Whether Matt and Jeff Hardy will eventually return to WWE remains to be seen. The fact that they recorded content for future digital releases is certainly a promising sign. For more updates on this story and much more, stay tuned to Ringside News.
