Mandy Rose Reveals Shaquille O’Neal Checked On Her After WWE Release

Mandy Rose’s WWE release surprised many fans and drew responses from unexpected places, including a call from Shaquille O’Neal after the news broke. Of course, Shaq may have been her tallest supporter, but he wasn’t alone in the many fans who backed the former NXT Women’s Champion during that time.

In December 2022, Mandy Rose’s run in NXT ended when WWE released her from her contract. During this time, many performers and personalities from the wrestling world publicly supported Rose. It turns out that she had a very tall acquaintance give her a concerned call as well.

A NBA Hall of Famer also reached out to Rose over direct message. While speaking to The I-95 Morning Show, Rose revealed that Shaquille O’Neal contacted her after her release.

“Shaq. But it wasn’t creepy or anything, it was when I got released. Super cool guy, I’ve heard really great things about him. I think I met him in person like once. It was when I got released and the news articles and all of these crazy things are coming out. It was really sweet, he just messaged me and was like hang in there, you’re amazing, love you kid or something like you’ll be fine. It’s one of those things, he must of saw something and probably felt bad. That was really cool.”

Shaquille O’Neal has a history with the world of pro wrestling. In 2016, he competed in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 32. In 2021, O’Neal teamed with Jade Cargill to face Cody Rhodes and Red Velvet on an episode of AEW Dynamite.

Mandy Rose hasn’t returned to the ring since her WWE tenure ended. The content that led to her firing turned out to be a financial success, as memberships on her site quickly made her a millionaire. Now, she is living well, relying on those fans to continue their monthly subscriptions on her OnlyFans page.
