The WWE Hall of Fame’s celebrity wing includes notable figures like former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, former President Donald Trump, and Kid Rock. However, Dennis “The Worm” Rodman, a former NWO member, has not yet been inducted and now a case has been made for Rodman to receive a WWE Hall of Fame induction.

While speaking on a recent episode of 83 Weeks, Eric Bischoff talked about whether Rodman should be inducted into the Hall of Fame and who should handle the induction. Bischoff suggested that Hulk Hogan would be the ideal choice for this role. He acknowledged that while Rodman’s impact on WCW might not have been as significant as Mike Tyson’s influence on WWE, it was still considerable and helped pave the way for other celebrities to get involved.

“Hulk Hogan,” Bischoff said, answering the second part first. “Will it ever happen? I don’t know, but it probably should because Dennis deserves a lot of credit … for WCW, was it our Mike Tyson moment? No. Was it in the same ballpark? Yeah.”

Bischoff noted that Rodman’s participation in WCW was instrumental in making it easier for him to bring in other celebrities, given Rodman’s influence during that era. In fact, Bischoff only took fifteen minutes to sign Rodman after WWE rejected him.

Rodman made a non-wrestling appearance on AEW Collision in Chicago’s United Center back in September 2023. His last wrestling match was in 2000 in Australia against Curt Hennig, while his most recent major match was a hardcore bout against WWE Hall of Famer “Macho Man” Randy Savage at the 1999 Road Wild event in Sturgis, South Dakota.

Rodman’s significant WCW appearances include teaming with Hulk Hogan at the 1997 and 1998 Bash at the Beach events. Therefore, we will have to wait and see whether Rodman will eventually get inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, as Eric Bischoff certainly feels he more than deserves it.
