MJF Claims He’s Never Watched the Iconic Film ‘Rocky’

MJF, known for his brash persona and sharp wit, recently made an eyebrow-raising revelation that has left fans scratching their heads. Despite drawing comparisons to Apollo Creed from the iconic “Rocky” films due to his love of America, MJF claims he has never seen “Rocky.”

In an interview with Cultaholic, MJF casually dropped the bombshell: “I’ve never seen Rocky before.” When asked if he had seen any of the films in the franchise, MJF responded with a straight face, “No. Can you explain the plot to me? Rocky, is it about a rock?”

After being informed that the movie is actually about a boxer, MJF seemed perplexed. “What a weird name for a boxer. That’s odd,” he remarked.

As the plot was further explained to him, including the (spoiler) detail that Rocky Balboa doesn’t win his first fight against Apollo Creed but still finds pride in his effort, MJF was unimpressed. “Why would you have pride? You lost. That sounds absurd. Who won, this Apollo Creed character? I’ll look into him. He sounds cool,” MJF quipped.

Perhaps one day, MJF and another former AEW Champion can sit down for a movie night and finally catch up on “Rocky.” Until then, fans will have to wonder if MJF’s lack of cinematic knowledge is just another part of his larger-than-life persona.
