Bryan Danielson has been in some massive big match situations. He wrestled twice at WrestleMania XXX, winning both matches to close out the night as WWE Champion. However, August 25’s AEW All In event in Wembley Stadium is going to be a massive night for his career, as it might be the final time he wrestles.
Bryan Danielson has had a career marked by a return from a career-ending injury, a WrestleMania main event victory, and numerous memorable matches. At AEW All In, Danielson will face Swerve Strickland, who will be defending the AEW World Title, with Danielson’s career on the line.
In an interview with Sun Sport, Bryan Danielson was asked if a victory at AEW All In would be the biggest moment of his career. He responded to say that it certainly feels like the biggest of his tenure as a pro wrestler. The settling of Wembley Stadium also adds to how special the moment will be.
“Yeah, 100%. I think, even if I lose, it still feels like the biggest moment of my career. One of the things…my daughter has gotten to see me wrestle, but it was when she was two and she doesn’t remember it. They’ve seen me wrestle on TV, but they’ve never seen me wrestle from a seat and there. Doing it at Wembley Stadium, win or lose, this feels like the biggest match of my career. I’m really looking forward to it.”
Bryan Danielson closed out AEW Dynamite on August 14 by looking strong against Swerve Strickland. Of course, Strickland walked out of the night as AEW World Champion. Only time will tell if he is able to do the same in Wembley Stadium.
AEW is doing a lot for Bryan Danielson’s run into Wembley Stadium. Tony Khan even paid Green Day for the use of their Good Riddance song for a career retrospective video package, one that was highlighted by plenty of ROH clips, which only added to the emotional video.
