Wes Lee suffered an injury last year, with an expected recovery time of nearly a year. Contrary to predictions, he made an earlier return in May and reunited with The Rascalz. However, on NXT last week, Lee turned heel on his former partners. He also attacked Joe Hendry during this week’s episode of NXT and he was called out for the same.

Wes Lee arrived on the August 13 edition of WWE NXT to explain his heinous actions from last week, however, he earlier chose to not comment as he entered the building and later on took down Joe Hendry with a superkick in the opening segment of the show.

After No Mercy, Wes Lee declared that while others could return to TNA, he would focus on bigger goals like winning the NXT Championship. Pete Dunne then arrived, asserting his own claim to the NXT Championship. Joe Hendry soon appeared, seeking revenge on Lee for the earlier attack. The segment ended with a chaotic brawl between the three men.

TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace took to Twitter to criticize Wes Lee, calling him a “TNAcist” and accusing him of discriminating against TNA stars. Grace responded to a comment suggesting Lee didn’t like TNA talent by saying that anyone interested would need to catch him in the NXT parking lot.

TNAcist

And that’s why we’re gonna have to catch him in that NXT parking lot”

Wes Lee will face Hendry and Pete Dunne in a Number One Contender’s Match on the August 20th episode of NXT, so we’ll have to wait and see if Lee will end up winning the match next week.
