John Cena Rules Out Future “One-Off” Matches Post WWE Retirement

John Cena, widely regarded as one of the greatest WWE Superstars of all time, officially announced his retirement at the WWE Money in the Bank PLE after an illustrious career spanning over two decades in the global juggernaut.

To commemorate his retirement, Cena has planned an extensive retirement tour throughout 2025, recently revealing the number of dates planned for the same and giving fans numerous opportunities to see him in action one last time.

While John Cena is preparing to wind down his in-ring career, many of his fans would still hope to see him back for one-off matches after retirement, as they have seen many superstars do in the past.

However, the 16-time WWE Champion, in a recent interview with Jimmy Kimmel, clearly stated that he had no intentions of returning to the ring for one-off matches after the conclusion of his retirement tour in 2025.

“It is not retired for 5 years and then come back for one-off. I am never performing again. The jorts, the sneakers, the ball cap, it’s all done.”

With the completion of filming for “Peacemaker” season 2 at the end of 2024, John Cena will shift his full focus to his WWE retirement tour in 2025, ensuring that this final chapter is not just a farewell but a celebration of his remarkable career.
