WWE has witnessed numerous Superstars with significant potential who never fully realized it. Damon Kemp, once seen as a rising star in NXT, is no longer with WWE. He has now addressed the possibility of a WWE return following his departure.

Damon Kemp, the brother of recently released Gable Steveson, joined WWE in August 2021 and quickly made a name for himself. He debuted in NXT later that year as part of Diamond Mine, but eventually turned heel, left the faction, and joined the No Quarter Catch Crew.

Kemp’s final WWE match took place on June 25, where he lost to Tavion Heights. His departure disappointed fans who had high hopes for his success within the company. WWE’s internal reaction to Kemp’s exit was one of surprise, as many were caught off guard by his departure.

While speaking on the Get Comfy podcast, Kemp reflected on the end of his time with WWE. He mentioned that it was unexpected, especially given how things were progressing, but acknowledged that such changes are part of the business. Despite the surprise, he recognized that opportunities often arise when one door closes, and he was excited about his work with the No Quarter Catch Crew.

“It’s one of those things you don’t really expect to happen to you, especially how things were kind of going. It happens all the time. It’s part of business. Just how things were shaping up. We were having a lot of fun. I was finally getting the ball rolling with the No Quarter Catch Crew, which was really exciting, too. I guess everything happens for a reason. When one door closes, another one opens.”

When asked if he would return to WWE if given the opportunity, Kemp said he would be open to it. He expressed that he holds no hard feelings toward WWE, appreciated the job and the chance to showcase a different side of himself, and would be willing to return if they reached out.

“I’d accept. There are no hard feelings towards WWE. It was great. I loved it. It was a great job for me and an opportunity to open up and to show a different side of me. It was great. If they called me back, I would go. There are no hard feelings.”

Kemp recently announced he is now a free agent. Fans are excited to see what’s next for Damon Kemp, as they remain confident in his talent and potential. With his departure from WWE, the future holds numerous opportunities for the former Superstar to explore and make his mark elsewhere.
