AEW Dynamite is always something fans look forward to each and every week for good reason. As we slowly approach the All In pay-per-view, this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite promises to build towards the show.
The August 14th, 2024 episode of AEW Dynamite is shaping up to be a night full of excitement. Broadcasting live from the Chartway Arena in Norfolk, Virginia at 8 PM ET on TBS, this week’s show promises plenty of action.
AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland will face Wheeler Yuta from the Blackpool Combat Club in a non-title match. Strickland is expected to showcase his dominance in the ring and send a message to Bryan Danielson ahead of their upcoming title bout at AEW All-In.
Britt Baker will also make her live return this week, marking her first live appearance since her suspension due to backstage issues. Last week, Baker appeared on Dynamite to address her AEW All-In opponent, Mercedes Mone.
Other highlights for the episode include a face-to-face confrontation between Claudio Castagnoli and Kazuchika Okada. “Hangman” Adam Page will take on Jay Lethal in a singles match, while the Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) will defend their AEW World Tag Team Championship against The Acclaimed (Max Caster & Anthony Bowens). Mercedes Mone will also defend her AEW TBS Championship against Hikaru Shida.
Additionally, a triple threat match featuring Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong, and Kyle O’Reilly will determine the #1 spot in the Casino Gauntlet Match at All-In. Lastly, Mariah May will present a film ahead of her match with “Timeless” Toni Storm at the All-In event.
