The WWE Universe in the Capitol Wrestling Center were left shocked at the conclusion of WWE NXT Great American Bash Week Two. Following MSK’s failure to win the NXT tag team championships from Nathan Frazer and Axiom, the unthinkable happened.

As Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz embraced Wes Lee in the ring, the beloved NXT superstar betrayed his cohorts and launched a vicious attack on both of them, leaving them physically decimated and walking away in a fit of rage and anger.

Wes Lee arrived on the August 13 edition of WWE NXT to explain his heinous actions from last week, however, he earlier chose to not comment as he entered the building and later on took down Joe Hendry with a superkick in the opening segment of the show.

The former NXT North American Champion stated that he was disappointed in Zachary Wentz and reflected on MSK disbanding years ago in NXT with many speculated about his future without the team. But Wes Lee bounced back with a spectacular title reign, and even credited The Rascalz’s success in TNA, while he suffered a major injury.

Moreover, Wes Lee claimed that he was the one who kept everything together as part of his team with Zachary and was tired of being his caretaker. Lee foresaw that Zach and him would eventually square off in a match, hinting at it to take place at NXT’s upcoming PLE, No Mercy.

In the end, Wes Lee stated that after No Mercy, they can run back to TNA while he could focus on bigger things like winning the NXT Championship. But at that moment, Pete Dunne arrived at the scene, who laid his own claim to the top prize of NXT. However, Joe Hendry once reappeared right after, to get some payback on Wes Lee for attacking him earlier as the segment ended on a brawl breaking out between the three men.
