Tay Melo’s AEW Return Status During Extended Absence

Tay Melo is a standout talent in AEW’s women’s division, known for her relentless drive and dedication. After a significant absence from in-ring action, it seems the Brazilian star is anticipated to make her return soon.

Sammy Guevara’s wife has been absent from the ring since March 2023, a hiatus prompted by the announcement at AEW Double or Nothing that she and Sammy were expecting a child. Their daughter, Luna Melo Guevara, was born last November, marking a joyous milestone for the couple.

It was reported that Tay Melo is currently training for an in-ring return. Melo also confirmed that she will be getting a new entrance theme song once she returns to AEW television.

PWInsider has reported that Tay Melo is expected to make her return to AEW soon, with speculation suggesting it could happen as early as this Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite in Norfolk, Virginia. While it hasn’t been confirmed whether Melo will be competing, involved in a storyline, or just making an appearance backstage, her return is creating excitement.

”The word backstage at Collision this past weekend indicated that Tay Melo will soon be returning to AEW. Soon could mean this Wednesday at Dynamite in Norfolk, Virginia, as some believe Melo will be present at the episode.”

Nevertheless, we will have to wait and see what AEW will have planned for Tay Melo once she does return, as it has been far too long since fans were able to see her on AEW television.
