Penta El Zero Miedo, known for his work in the Lucha Brothers tag team alongside Rey Fenix, has been a prominent figure in AEW since the promotion’s start in 2019. With their contracts coming up for renewal and speculation about a possible WWE move, it’s expected that Penta will be in Orlando this week.
As reported earlier, Penta El Zero Miedo’s AEW contract is set to expire between August and September 2024, making him a potential free agent. He is reportedly open to exploring new opportunities outside AEW, with WWE showing interest in signing him. The same goes for Rey Fenix, as both wrestlers’ contracts are ending this year.
There is significant speculation within AEW that Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix may be moving to WWE after their contracts expire. WWE is considering bringing them directly to the main roster rather than starting them in NXT.
According to Ibou of WrestlePurists, WWE believes that Penta El Zero Miedo will be in Orlando, Florida sometime this week. Orlando is home to the WWE Performance Center, where WWE talent is trained and developed.
”Multiple sources within WWE are of the belief that Pentagon Jr will be in Orlando at some point this week.”
Rey Fenix has also pulled out of an indie event in September and we have also reported the likely reason why the Lucha Brothers will leave AEW. Penta even bid farewell to his fans in Mexico as rumors of them joining WWE gain steam, so we’ll have to see if they will end up signing with WWE once their AEW contracts end.
