Otis Accepts Oba Femi’s NXT North American Title Challenge After 8/12 WWE RAW

Oba Femi won the Men’s Breakout Tournament and became the NXT North American Champion back in January and he has been utterly dominant since then. He also challenged Otis for an NXT North America Championship match on RAW this week and Otis has now accepted the same.

On the August 12th episode of WWE Raw, Alpha Academy (Otis and Akira Tozawa) went up against American Made (Julius and Brutus Creed). During Alpha Academy’s entrance, Otis had a brief staredown with NXT North American Champion Oba Femi, who was seated in the crowd.

In a digital exclusive, Otis addressed the staredown and accepted Femi’s open challenge for a title match. He expressed admiration for the North American Championship and confidently declared his intention to compete against Femi. Otis promised a fierce match and hyped up their upcoming encounter on the August 13th episode of NXT.

“Oba, how ya doing? I’m Otis. That 20 pounds of gold on your shoulder sure looks damn good. If there’s one thing that people know out there, it’s I’m one mean [grunts] mother. I’m coming for you. Tomorrow night, open challenge for the North American Championship, oh yes, it’s big Otis versus Oba. Oh, yeah!”

We will have to wait and see how Otis will fare against Oba Femi, as the match has yet to be officially confirmed at this moment. Nonetheless, it’s likely the match will be announced and fans will get to see the two behemoths square off against each other on the August 13th edition of NXT.
