MJF used to be one of the top babyfaces in AEW last year when he was paired up with Adam Cole, but that’s all in the past now as MJF is a full-blown heel again. In fact, he wises Adam Cole died of cancer.

Despite his absence, Adam Cole has made occasional TV appearances. He played a key role in a major heel turn against MJF at AEW World’s End in December, which led to the formation of The Undisputed Kingdom with Matt Taven, Mike Bennett, Roderick Strong, and Wardlow.

Cole’s most recent TV appearance was at AEW Double or Nothing in May, where he gave an in-ring promo that prompted MJF’s return from injury. During this promo, MJF attacked Cole. Cole’s future and his potential rivalry with MJF remain unclear, especially after MJF’s heel turn a month later.

While speaking in an interview with Cultaholic, MJF talked about how his change of heart last year was influenced by Adam Cole. He said he regretted listening to Cole, learned from the experience, and won’t make the same mistake again and hoped Cole died of cancer.

“I had a friend at the time, who I wish died of d*** cancer, and he convinced me to let the people in,” MJF said. “I did, and I learned my lesson, and it’s never going to happen again.”

We have also reported that Adam Cole’s in-ring return faced setback due to the complexity of his injury. We will have to wait and see if Adam Cole will go after MJF upon his return, as it seems evident the two may never interact again.
