Logan Paul was already a celebrity with several controversies in his past before venturing into WWE. Now, as a YouTuber turned boxer turned WWE Superstar, he is able to speak about experiences that almost ruined his career, including the one in Japan that is well-known.

Logan Paul discussed a potential return to Japan during a recent episode of the Impaulsive podcast. WWE toured Japan for three dates in July, but Paul did not participate in the tour. This was notable because he was the US Champion at the time, and LA Knight called him out for missing the show.

Logan Paul’s history in Japan is infamous, due to a filming incident in 2017 in the Aokigahara forest, a known site for suicides, where he recorded footage next to a victim. Afterward, he released an apology video, the first of many in his career, and attempted to move on from the incident. During the podcast episode, Dominik Mysterio was a guest, and the conversation with Logan Paul and co-host Mike Majlak touched on Japan. Dominik asked, “You’ve never been to Japan? You’ve never been?” Logan replied, “I had prior obligations.” Dominik continued, “You have to go. Can you go?” Logan answered, “Bro, Dom. What do you think? Yes, I can go to Japan. I can go to Japan.”

Dominik asked further, “I’m just making sure. I didn’t know if you were shadow banned or excommunicado.” Logan assured him, “No, I’m not excommunicado.” Dominik added, “I didn’t know if you were put on a list or something. WWE can pull some strings for you.” Logan revealed, “I’ve never said this before, but my rule was, if I went back, I would like to be invited back. I haven’t gotten the invite yet.”

Co-host Mike Majlak joined the conversation, asking, “Who are you trying to get invited by?” Logan replied, “My best bet is the WWE. I’d be a real heel there.” Dominik agreed, “Oh yeah, you would. Especially if you show up with the hat.” Logan quickly rejected this, “Stop. That was too far. That was actually too far, bro.” Dominik clarified, “As a heel, you know.” Logan reiterated, “That was too far, bro.” Dominik returned to the main topic, “Back to the topic at hand. Japan was great. It was fantastic.”

Logan expressed his thoughts on Japan, “I actually love Japan. Tokyo is like a giant arcade game. It’s the cleanest most beautiful city in the world and my favorite city in the world. I f*cked it all up and I hate that.”

Dominik asked, “Did you go to Osaka or just Tokyo?” Logan responded, “I didn’t go to Osaka.” Dominik commented, “Osaka is very nice.” Logan inquired, “Do you explore when you travel to these places?” Dominik explained, “It depends. Usually, we don’t have time. We had time in Osaka and Tokyo.”

The “hat” Dominik Mysterio mentioned was the green Toy Story alien one Logan Paul wore during the incident in the suicide forest. This comment seemed to cross a line for Paul, but the question remains whether he still has that hat. Whether Logan Paul returns to Japan is yet to be seen, as he indicated he would need an invitation. His next trip to Japan would likely draw significant attention, and it is hoped that he will avoid the forest if he visits again.
