Legitimacy of CM Punk’s Travel Problems Before WWE RAW on 8/12 Revealed

CM Punk has been on a roll for the past several months thanks to his feud with Drew McIntyre. There were doubts Punk would make it for this week’s RAW but that wasn’t the case as he attacked McIntyre and now the legitimacy of Punk having travel issues has been revealed.

On the August 12 episode of Monday Night RAW, General Manager Adam Pearce informed Drew McIntyre that CM Punk was facing travel issues. McIntyre, however, was more focused on the World Heavyweight Championship and frustrated that Randy Orton from SmackDown was getting a title shot against GUNTHER.

Later in the show, GUNTHER and Orton had a heated exchange, with Gunther making personal insults about Orton and his family. As Orton was about to respond, McIntyre entered the ring. Suddenly, CM Punk appeared and attacked McIntyre, using McIntyre’s leather belt to strike him several times before quickly leaving.

According to Fightful Select, CM Punk’s travel issues mentioned on Monday Night RAW were part of a storyline. However, this has been a recurring theme in wrestling over the past month.

After all, WWE stars faced travel issues last week before RAW on Baltimore as their flights were being cancelled due to Tropical Storm Debby. Even TNA stars weren’t able to appear at Slammiversary due to a global technical failure that grounded thousands of US flights. Regardless, we certainly hope travel issues stop plaguing pro wrestling from now on, as they have become rampant this past month.
