The August 13 edition of WWE NXT kicked off on a huge note with the arrival of the NXT Champion, Ethan Page, boosting about finally putting down Oro Mensah last week at NXT Great American Bash.

The “All-Ego” champion proclaimed about his greatness and called this era “NXMe.” That was until a popular music hit and much to the ovation of the fans, TNA star and NXT’s regular fixture, Joe Hendry made his appearance.

Joe Hendry engaged in a verbal back-and-forth with Ethan Page as soon as he entered the ring. While the NXT Champion acknowledged the fans and legends “believing” in Joe Hendry, Page openly stated that he is not among them.

As Page questioned Joe Hendry’s credibility as a top name in the business, he name-dropped stars, like Shawn Michaels and Booker T to be among his supporters and quickly revealed that his sole purpose to be in the Black and Gold brand was to win the NXT Championship.
