The world of professional wrestling has seen multiple on and offscreen talents whose combined efforts create an enthralling experience for the fans who attend live shows and tune in each week for the television programming. So, it is always painful when the wrestling world loses the people who contributed to the success of the industry.

WWE Hall of Famer and current AEW commentator, Jim Ross recently took to his X to announced to the world that his friend since the last four decades, Dennis Brent, who was also his colleague back in WWE and WCW, has passed away.

“So sad that my 40 year friend Dennis Brent has passed away. We worked together at WCW and WWE. Dennis will be missed. Rest in peace my friend. 🙏.”

Dennis Brent passed away on August 11, 2024. He is survived by his beloved wife Lynn, sister, Susie Solomon (Hal), and his brother-in-law, Keith Gran (Becky) and leaves behind his nieces, Lindsay Solomon and McKenzie Gran and nephews Justin Solomon, Gerson Gran (Emily) and Gabriel Gran. In the early 1980s, Dennis Brent founded his own computer software company for the Radio Shack TRS-80, which he later sold. He then embarked on a two-decade-long career in professional wrestling, working as a ringside photographer and head of publications for World Class Wrestling in Dallas, World Championship Wrestling (WCW) in Atlanta, and finally for the WWF (now WWE) in Stamford, CT.

As his family continues to mourn his loss, a graveside service was held on Wednesday, August 14, at Temple Emanu-El Cemetery, with Rabbi Steve Fisch officiating. Moreover, it can be expected that Jim Ross will also be in attendance to pay the last respects to his late friend.

Ringside News extends its condolences to Dennis Brent’s family as they cope with this tragic loss.
