AEW recently confirmed that the Casino Gauntlet Match will return for the All In pay-per-view in just under two weeks, and so there is a lot of excitement for the match. In fact, the likelihood of free agents being planned for the bout has been released as well.
The Casino Gauntlet Match has been a hit in its previous editions. In these matches, participants enter at timed intervals, and the match ends when someone achieves a pinfall or submission victory. Will Ospreay won both of the earlier matches, earning the AEW International title and a world title shot.
The third Casino Gauntlet Match will take place at the All In pay-per-view, and this time, the stakes are as high as ever, with a guaranteed world title opportunity on the line.
While speaking on Fightful Select’s Q&A podcast, Sean Ross Sapp was asked if a free agent would be included in the Casino Gauntlet Match. He mentioned that there are discussions about adding some new names who haven’t competed in AEW before.
“I know they have some fresh names that haven’t wrestled in AEW before that they have discussed being in that match.”
We will have to wait and see what kind of names the company has planned for the Casino Gauntlet match as there is undoubtedly a lot of hype for the match at All In on August 25.
