Daniel Garcia has been a part of AEW for a few years and is considered a key future talent for the company. However, with his contract set to expire this year, it appears he is torn between WWE and AEW.
Daniel Garcia has not been seen on AEW television since the July 3 edition of AEW Dynamite’s special event, Beach Break, where MJF turned heel on him and brutalized him, effectively writing him off television.
We have also reported that Daniel Garcia’s AEW contract is set to expire in October this year and the reason behind Daniel Garcia being written off television, which was done in case Garcia doesn’t re-sign with AEW.
According to Cory from PWN, Daniel Garcia is currently torn between staying with AEW or moving to WWE. It has been confirmed that Garcia has not yet re-signed with AEW. He is reportedly uncertain about his next steps, with his contract set to expire in October. This situation is one to watch as the decision approaches.
As reported on @FightfulSelect yesterday, Daniel Garcia has not currently re-signed with AEW. #PWN was able to confirm this news and learned that Garcia is ‘conflicted’ about what he wants to do next whether it’s staying with AEW or entertaining the possibility of going to WWE. Something to keep an eye on as we get closer to October when his contract is set to expire.”
We have also reported that Daniel Garcia even considered a move to WWE. If Daniel Garcia decides to sign a new contract with AEW, he is expected to return and start a feud with MJF. For now, we’ll have to wait and see what Garcia ultimately decides.
